.Vintage Sportscars Canada has a long history in the restoration and maintenence of vintage, classic, and special interest automobiles.
The business began in the mid 1970's with the restorations of several rare quality sportscars. Among those were a 1954 Mercedes Gullwing that had been in a flood, a 1959 Jaguar XK150 Open Two Seater, that won national 1st prize at JCNA events in the USA in 1993 and 1998.
During the early days of the company many other projects were completed some of which were: A 1929 Bugatti Type 44 that had been burnt beyond recognition. A 1962 Ferrari Pininfarina Cabriolet that had burnt and had a building collapse upon it.
Some of our customers included Mr. Alan Grant who at one time had the largest collection of MG cars in Canada.
Mr. Don Francks a famous actor who has a large collection of Model T Ford Speedsters. Mr. James Dale who had several rare Jaguars including an alloy XK-120, a C Type and an XKSS.
Currently we work for several collectors who have about 12 cars apiece. Some of these collections include Mercedes 300sl Gullwings and Roadsters, 1937 Cord Sportsman, 1932 Auburn 12 cyl.Boattail Speedster, 1970 Porsche 911S, 1976 Ferrari 308GTB, 1967 Jaguar XKE OTS, 1967MGB, 1964 Triumph TR-4 and many others.
